The District’s Age-Friendly effort is starting with a focus on adults age 50 and older.
Goal: Increase engagement with DC residents and local organizations involved with the implementation of Age-Friendly DC.

Research: More than 1 in 10 residents in the District of Columbia are over 65 years old. With our population growing older and because aging is an experience every person shares, making communities an easier place to grow older is an urgent and critical endeavor.
